Phoebe's Room

Disney artwork from Etsy

I am resigned to the fact this room will always be a work in progress. Already we have graduated from the Chicco Next2Me to a proper cot, the bouncy chair has now been dismantled and is attic bound, and there is a constant cycle of new and old toys.

One thing I did learn was that there is no room for 'tasteful' decor. Babies like things colourful and gaudy. As soon as I had learnt that it looked like Fisher Price had vomited all over my house.. Anyway, at this very moment though, here is a tour of Phoebe's room.

I will be sharing Phoebe's shelves in an upcoming blog post. This fabric bookshelf is from Aldi.

She is growing out of her play gym so quickly. I sometimes pop her in it when I get a shower though, the raised sides still manage to keep her slightly contained.

The jungle height chart you can see in the background is from here.

Her cot was a hand me down and I went and bought the Sleepyhead Grand just for continuations sake. She had the Sleepyhead Deluxe in her Chicco Next2Me and has always slept pretty well in it.

The musical cot mobile was bought in the sale at Mothercare.

There is an elephant theme running throughout her room.. I am not even sure why! I don't have a particular affinity for them either. You soon learn that everything baby is either bunny or elephant though. I bought this ceiling mobile in the sale from The Little White Company.

All the other furniture you can see is from Ikea.

I now have two play mats, one downstairs and one upstairs. It just makes things so much easier when you only have one hand free and a baby balanced on the other hip.

As you can see I am starting Phoebe's Disney education off early with Pluto who I picked up on my last Walt Disney World trip.

The nursery staple; Ewan the Dream sheep. And for a little greenery I thought an ivy pot plant from Ikea would be perfect.

Love, Jo
