Review: Michael Kors Sexy Ruby Eau de Parfum

I'm so on the quest for the perfect autumn scent, unfortunately Michael Kors Sexy Ruby* just isn't my one.

It's floral but not overpoweringly so. You know, it's honestly a hard one to describe. It's a very warm scent with multiple indistinguishable layers. I kind of like my perfumes with a bit of 'zing' to them, you get me? I love the fresher scents like Abercrombie & Fitch's First Instinct, you can read my review here.

The scent was also not particularly long lasting, and I had to reapply multiple times in the day. Which brings me on to the point in which it feels much more like an evening scent? I found it quite heavy, almost sleepy for during the day, but I doubt very much it would feel that way if I was wearing it say, on a night out.

The only positive thing in my eyes was the packaging. I love its weightiness and the luxe feel of it. This would look a pretty impressive as a gift, but make sure it is not an on the whim purchase. In my advice only buy if requested!

It's one of those perfumes that doesn't suit all, or even a particular age group. I wouldn't necessarily describe this as 'young' perfume either, yet it suited my younger teenage sister much more than me. You definitely need to apply and then leave it for about 5-10 minutes to let it 'settle'.

A try before you buy purchase for sure, especially when you are going to drop that much dollar.

Love, Jo
