A Spring Makeup Update.

With Spring finally making an appearance I couldn't wait to change up my makeup accordingly. As a sucker for a pretty palette, or two, I try and keep things in rotation depending on my mood and according to what my skin is up to.

Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge
This is my go to multiuse product, lips and cheeks are pretty much sorted with this little pot. It applies easily by fingertips, beauty blogger? I think not! It goes on smoothly, and just adds that little pop of colour to the apples of my cheeks. Pretty Powerful is such a versatile shade too, I think it would suit any skin type.

BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Powder
My most pigmented highlighter by far. I got this highlighter in the BECCA Opal Glow on the Go Collection set in last year’s Sephora haul and I love it. You only need a tiny bit to really get that glow, so I can see myself really getting my money’s worth from this little travel friendly pot.

Fenty Matchstix Contour
I am slowly adding my Fenty beauty buys into my every day routine. I am not keen on the highlighter as it is far too pinky for my skin tone, although, I am definitely reaching for the concealer a bit more. The contour is definitely my star pick. It’s dark enough for easy application, but can also be built upon for a more dramatic look.

Urban Decay Naked Palette
To be honest, this palette is just an amazing all-rounder, no matter if it’s Spring, Summer, Autumn, or Winter! I am so tempted to get the new Backtalk Palette when it is released but I am doing my very best to resist. Like, how many palettes does a girl need? Stupid question really!

Benefit They're Real Mascara
I very much have a love/hate relationship with this mascara. I love wearing it, it doesn’t smudge, it looks really dramatic with only a single application, but removing it? Geez! It is such a chore, and can I be bothered at the end of the day? No is the answer. Anyway, despite this it’s perfect for my Spring makeup bag as I don’t like my face to be too OTT during this season.

Bobbi Brown Nude Finish Tinted Moisturiser
A lighter base in Spring and the summer months is a must for me. Maybe not EVERY DAY but days when I just want to be a bit more au natural, but still look like I’ve made an effort, if you get me? I still like to wear a primer underneath this as I am forever cursed with oily/combination skin, so I often need that extra bit of help. If I forget to prime I will often use just a bit of powder to help mattify.

Bobbi Brown Rich Lip Colour Lipstick
Swapping my nudes and deep reddy browns for a bright pop of colour only seems right for Spring. I am slowly veering away from the dry and cakey matte formula and opting for a more high shine moisturing lip product. Guava is just so comfortable to wear, easily maintained and is the perfect shade for the fresher months.

Glossier Stretch Concealer
My absolute favourite concealer at the moment. It doesn't leave any crease lines, covers those mummy panda eyes, and it is just so light and easy to apply. I tend to just use my index finger and pat it on. Simple.

What are your Spring makeup must haves?

Love, Jo
