First Impressions; NARS Wanted Palette.

NARS Wanted Palette
This has got to be the holy grail of eye shadow palettes for 2018, and yes I know it’s still only February. It also has the price tag to prove it, but who cares for such a stunningly beautiful product.. That is not to say I didn’t do a little weep into the mothballs rolling around my purse.

Admittedly, I was looking at the cheaper Huda Beauty alternative. I don’t own any makeup by Huda and that was one wrong thing I wanted to right this year. Howeverrr, I don’t really own much from NARS either, and when I saw the NARS Wanted palette popping up on Insta feeds everywhere I had a treat yo self kind of moment.

Huda will have to wait. Not long. Obvs.

I liked this palette because of its pinky undertones. I purchased Urban Decay’s Naked Heat palette so I would have all the rust and orangey shades covered, but I had nothing that was really pink and girly, until this baby came along of course.

The mix of light and dark shades is on point. I usually like to use Satisfaction on the inner corners of my eyes, then blend out to Coconut Grove on the outer part of my eyes, and along the lash line for definition.

The pigmentation is pretty special, I especially love the shimmery shades, and they look great pressed into the lid over one of the more matte ones. The textures are just so velvety and smooth, not cakey in the slightest.

My favourite shades by far are Shooting Star & Wicked Game. The shades are so versatile too, and there is literally not one that I wouldn’t wear day or night. You know, because usually in every palette there’s one shade were you are like; err no!

With a bit of help from my old friend Urban Decay 'Original' Eye Shadow Primer Potion the staying power of these shadows is 2nd to none, and definitely survive a work day pretty well, which unfortunately can't be said about yours truly!

The packaging is also spectacular, the pretty pixelated design is a bloggers dream and completely wipeable. (finally NARS!) I love a palette with a bit of colour, it really stands out in my makeup drawer, and I find I am reaching for it daily. What can I say? It is just so wearable and easy to apply quickly.

What do you think? Worth the price tag?
