Sharing My Shelves: Summer Readin'.

Sadly I haven’t really picked up a book since we moved into our new house. I think when we are well and truly settled the urge will take me again.

In the meantime I thought I would put together a little stack of what is currently on my reading list.

The Girl Before By JP Delaney
This is one of books I managed to finish before the move. I loved it. It was very easy to read and to follow. Kind of mindless fiction if you get what I mean? I would definitely compare it to the likes of Gone Girl, Before I go to Sleep and The Girl on the Train. If you are looking for a relatively gripping, but not too taxing summer read, then this one is for you.

The Wildflowers by Harriet Evans
Admittedly after hearing such amazing things about this book, this is the one I have fallen down at. It is just so slow moving? I love the story but I am about 2 thirds of the way through and I am not really shocked at anything? Don’t get me wrong it is really well written, easy to understand and the fact that it jumps from past to present day isn’t too difficult to distinguish. I am determined to finish it though.

Hold Back the Stars by Katie Khan
Another blogger recommendation. I love the cover so I thought; why the hell not!

Our House by Louise Candlish
You can tell I have been through Kate La Vie’s reading list can’t you? I was so taken with her review of it I actually purchased it in hardback! I think this is my most anticipated read, fingers crossed it’s good!

What are you reading this summer? Recommendations welcome.
