Budget Skincare on a.. Budget?

Aldi Skincare
This blog post I am dedicating to all things Aldi, well, not all things, but just some of their recent skincare releases that have helped me through some very pimply situations.

Yes, you still get spots at 33. Soz.

First up is the mask. I once bought a mini glow mask from Sephora so at least I had something to compare it to, otherwise ya gal can’t afford £50 on a facemask if she doesn’t want to live on beans on toast for the rest of the month... Not that there is anything wrong with that!

The consistency and look of the product is very similar...

Hell! It’s a dupe, EVERYTHING about it is similar.

It is thick, not thin, or runny, kind of what you would expect to be found with a cheaper product, but no. Application is easy, I just did it with my fingertips on already cleansed skin and the tingling starts almost immediately.

At first it is a little bit uncomfortable, but eventually feels kinda nice. You know, that feeling of satisfaction when you feel like something is working?

After 15 minutes it was time to take it off. Granted this took a bit of removal, but the gradual removal and exfoliating really added to the finished effect and overall luxuriousness of the product.

My skin felt super soft, blemishes appeared a bit more dried out, if not a little bit red at the end but I will definitely be using this again.

The next thing I bought was the Lacura Hot Cloth Cleanser. I am a massive fan of Liz Earle’s Cleanse & Polish so it seemed only natural I would want to try this. This is probably the best dupe I have tried, and I have tried A LOT, including Superdrug’s Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser and it just doesn’t compare.

The scent is exactly the same, almost medicinal, and once cleansed, the feeling is identical. It even comes with a muslin cloth at a snippet of the price. I really hope they make both these products staples in their skincare line, otherwise I’m going to have to stock up next time.

Have you tried either of these products? What did you think?
