My 2019 Goals.

I always find writing about future goals quite cathartic, especially at the beginning of a new year. I haven’t set myself anything too extravagant, well, maybe New York is a bit out there but we shall see!

This might seem like a bit of a big headed resolution, but hear me out! There has been a lot of that lacking from my life recently. I think being in a bad relationship has contributed towards that. There’s only so many years/months/weeks you can go without a compliment, or any sort of love, before the self-doubt starts to creep in. I have had a little time to reflect, and being with George has made me realise I’m not half bad, a little bit of a neat freak, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing!

Having that confidence back in myself is my biggest goal. I want Phoebe to see a different, happier, healthier mum. I am already getting to spend more quality time with her because I am not worrying over the washing, cleaning, and any other job I had to do around the house. I have already booked a hair consultation, and I am toying with the idea of getting my nose pierced. I guess it is just something I have always wanted to do. Bring on the early – mid thirties life crisis.

I am ready for you.

I have set my GoodReads reading goal at 15 books… I know, it’s not a lot but really my mind set has been more fight or flight this past year instead of just sit down, relax and crack open a book. I think when someone comments on how little you read it makes you more reluctant to do it… Anyway, I have just started reading The Tattooist of Auschwitz by Heather Morris which I have heard amazing things about. I can’t wait to see what else makes it onto my reading list this year.

The complete opposite of my above goal. Obvs, because I wouldn’t be Jo without being only slightly backwards. Now I am in a better headspace my concentration is returning. I have recently finished You and Black Box on Netflix. Don’t get me wrong both were watchable, but I have a list as long as my arm of things I want to catch up on.

I am aiming to post once or twice a week. I have so much content planned I literally can’t wait. All that is missing is time, but part of my resolution for more self-love is I am going to attempt to give myself that. As well as regular mani/pedi’s…

Yikes!

I have also loved being in front of the camera for once, it has been so liberating. I find it so sad that there are hardly any pictures of me and Phoebe. There are holidays that we have been on and it’s like I wasn’t even there…

My tip for a good relationship:

Shared interests! Being comfortable is key when it comes to taking photos. You can read all about my first time experience here.

It’s kinda funny, I hate it at first and get really shy, but after a couple of minutes I am really enjoying it. I am not the most stylish of bloggers but I try my best. I am very much of that affordable, high street ilk, and that won’t be changing anytime soon. However, I do like showcasing different places so I am hoping to get back into the city pretty soon.

This is always high on my list of goals. I would love to go back to the city that never sleeps and Disneyland Paris again this year. I still feel like I have a million and one things to see when it comes to New York. Top of my list is to eat eggs and visit CVS... Don’t ask me because I can’t tell you why that’s come out trumps over everything else great about that city.
