Valentine's Day Makeup.

Admittedly, I am not the biggest fan of Valentine's day. I feel like love should be celebrated daily, not just on one day of the year, and if my last relationship was anything to go by; on no day of the year!

Anyway, this year we will be celebrating with a M&S Dine in for 2  in front of a Harry Potter film. Perf. However, this doesn't mean I can't do a little something special with my makeup. Here is what I will be wearing...

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit vol. 4 | This is fast becoming my favourite go to face product, which is good because it isn't cheap! I have found whilst snapping outfit pictures you really can see a difference to when I have used another product for my blush and contour. Worth the monies? You bet.

Rimmel Insta Fix & Go Setting Spray | Who doesn't love a good high street buy? I needed a cheaper version of Urban Decay's De - Slick Setting spray as I was living between two houses at the time and I would always forget something, and unsurprisingly it was usually some sort of makeup setting spray. No one likes an oily date, so this stuff is perfect and a lot cheaper too. The only downside to this product is the spray mechanism is so harsh! It comes out in one direct burst, instead of delicately misting the face which is what I'm used to from De-Slick.

IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Oil-Free Matte Cream | Honestly? I am still undecided about this CC+ Cream. It definitely doesn't compare to the original, and maybe I will just stick with that. The consistency is just too hard to work with. I am definitely not one for wastage though and I will eventually get through this tube. You can read all about my thoughts on it here.

bareMinerals Prime Time Foundation Primer | This is actually a sample that I was sent. It has the same consitency as Smashbox and Babyskin, you get the gist. I quite like it, although there is nothing that stands out over the other aforementioned products.

Benefit's Roller Lash | I used to love this mascara in the beginning, but after repurchasing a travel sized version I quickly changed my mind. I don't think anything has changed I just have other ones that I prefer now. I quite like layering this product just on my top lashes. That, with a darker lip just looks so pretty IMO.

Soap & Glory's Archery | This is my favourite high street eyebrow pencil and shaper. If I had all the money in the world it would be Benefit's Goof Proof every time hands down, but this is the next best thing. Trust me.

MAC's Persistence | I wrote a blog post a while back on my MAC lipstick collection and this still remains one of my favourites ever. It's a bit darker than a nude but it's completely wearable for work etc.
