My Frog Prince.

Lipstick Queen Frog Prince Lipstick
Technically this should be in my birthday haul blog post (that’s if there is going to be one!), but I couldn’t resist writing a little somethin’ somethin’ for it beforehand.

I have been wanting to try Lipstick Queen Frog Prince Lipstick for a good couple of years, so when my mum mentioned a well-timed (for my birthday) bit of duty free shopping I finally requested it. Without a doubt the packaging is luxe and quirky. The bullet itself is sturdy and not cheap feeling, which is what I would hope for when you drop £20+ on a lipstick!

The formula is rich, creamy and comfortable to wear. Claiming to contain vitamin E and shea butter, it certainly feels more like you are applying a balm than a lipstick. It also has a relatively glossy finish, which is just what I wanted going into the summer months.

The novelty of it being green doesn’t wear off either. I love shocking co-workers when I whip it out of my makeup bag for retouches! Speaking of retouches, they aren’t really required. The shade is so natural that when it does fade after eating or drinking it doesn’t look daft, or cling to different parts of your lips. Saying that, it is long wearing providing you apply to a good base.

The only negative I can think of is that me, my mum, and sister all tried it and there wasn’t ~that~ much variance in shade. I would say the depth of colour was the only thing that was different, if that makes sense! Although, I don’t know what I was expecting… Some magical Harry Potter-esque multi-faceted changing colour lipstick mebbe?

Saying that, this shade does seem to suit all skin types which is pretty amazing, and certainly flattering to all who purchase it!

I do like it though, the rosebud pink shade is perfect for day to day wear, but probably not dramatic enough to wear of an evening. I'm not sure it warrants the price tag, but the novelty of it is more than reason enough to drop some dough.
