E.l.f Makeup. First Impressions.

New month, new makeup. I don't buy new makeup every month, far from it in fact, but since we are in the throws of summer, albeit a British one, I noticed I was starting to get a little bit oilier than usual.

I have never tried the e.l.f range before, I had to actually google where to buy it from because I had no idea. It was just one of those brands I had seen around on social media and didn't think much of. Although, my love for high street makeup is at an all time at the minute even though I am considering of blowing my budget on the new Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Mattifying Primer... But that's by the by.

I am always looking for ways to mattify my skin and I thought I would give the e.l.f. Make Me Matte! Foundation Adjuster a go. It actually has a few uses, the main one being you can add it to your foundation as a way to control oil, but I don't have time for that kind of faff in the morning. Currently I am just using it as an after primer powder and an all over setting powder. Ngl, it's great for that use alone. It's a little bit tricky to get out of the pot and I have resulted in just shaking it into the lid, but it's a small sacrifice for skin you wouldn't consider frying chips on though.

I didn't really need another palette, but whilst this is true I didn't own a blusher and bronzer combined. Tragic, right? It was one of those world stopped spinning moments... Ha! I wanted something more compact I could take on holiday with me, and I also believe this e.l.f. Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder in Fiji 604 topped a couple best sellers lists too, all things that meant for it to end up in my basket.

Don't get me wrong, I like the product it's just a little bit too subtle for my taste. I like, and appreciate makeup that just does the job after one sweep, none of this buildable nonsense. For a beauty blogger, I don't have a lot of time for actual beauty! Not with a full-time job, a toddler and a cat/boyfriend each vying for my attention.

I have not been put off the e.l.f range though, not at all. I actually want to try other products, particularly the skincare, so please shout out any recommendations in the comments below.
